Lower back acting up? Grab for your willow bark instead of your Vioxx. It's just as good, according to Matt Brignall, ND.
Thinking about using Tylenol instead? You might want to read this article from the New York Times. Scientists are calling for stronger warnings on products containing acetaminophen due to potential liver damage.
I am very interested in the willow bark -- is this something I can get in a health food store? I am intolerant to both Celebrex and Vioxx. (As well as Advil over long periods of time.) I wonder if the Willow Bark would help?
I have to be careful with the tylenol. Thanks for these great links!
Posted by: Zuly on September 23, 2002 08:55 PMYou know Zuly, I'm really tempted to go all out on you. I just got back from meeting with a client with FM and CFS-- and I of course thought of you.
But one thing at a time. Willow bark is available at most health food stores. You can get it in bulk or in capsule form.
I'd like to know some more about your "intolerance" to Celebrex and Vioxx. They both work differently than Salix alba (White Willow) so I'm not too concerned, just curious.
